Flood Waters Keep Firefighters Busy

June 11, 2008

Saturday, June 7th brought an overwhelming number of calls for help as rapidly rising waters displaced many families.

Honey Creek Fire Department relied on help from agencies as far away as Indianapolis and Evansville to help evacuate families from their water-filled homes. Even an assisted living facility was evacuated.

Flood waters were deep enough to cover cars and houses in some places.

Crews worked all day and into the night.



Motor Vehicle Accident with Extrication

April 15, 2008

Rescue crews were dispatched to the area of Eaton and Jessica on a reported motor vehicle accident at 9:13pm on Monday, April 14.

While enroute, an off duty police officer advised the driver of the vehicle was entrapped.

It took crews around 25 minutes to free the driver from the vehicle.

A landing zone was setup and Lifeline landed at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was flown to an Indianapolis area hospital.
